Accessibility Statement
What we have done to make this site usable for people with disabilities, what still needs work, and how to reach us if anything gets in your way.
1. Our commitment
Ziggy Cooling & Heating LLC wants every person in Las Vegas to be able to book an air conditioning repair, whatever their ability and whatever technology they use to browse. We are committed to making ziggycoolingheating.com accessible to people with disabilities, in the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Accessibility is not a one-off task. We treat it as part of maintaining the site, and we fix problems as we find them or as they are reported to us.
2. The standard we aim for
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines are the recognised benchmark for making web content perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
We believe this site substantially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We say “substantially” rather than “fully” deliberately: we have tested the site carefully, but no site is beyond improvement, and we would rather be honest than claim perfection.
3. What we have done
- Colour and contrast — body text, headings and buttons were checked against their actual backgrounds to meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratios. Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Keyboard access — every link, button, form field and the FAQ accordion can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical order, with a clearly visible focus outline. A “Skip to content” link is the first item on the page.
- Screen readers — the page uses proper landmarks and heading structure, every form field has a permanently visible label that is programmatically associated with it, required fields are announced, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Forms — errors are described in words rather than by colour alone, are shown next to the field concerned, and are also gathered into a summary at the top of the form that receives focus and links to each problem field. Nothing you have typed is discarded when an error occurs.
- Images — photographs that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text.
- Motion — if your device is set to reduce motion, animations and smooth scrolling are switched off automatically.
- Zoom and reflow — the page reflows to a single column and remains usable when zoomed or on a small screen, without horizontal scrolling. Pinch-zoom is not disabled.
- Targets — buttons and tap targets are sized for people who find small controls difficult to hit accurately.
4. Known limitations
We want to be straightforward about the areas we are still working on:
- Third-party content. Analytics and advertising scripts provided by Google and Meta are outside our control, and we cannot guarantee their accessibility. They do not affect your ability to read the page or submit the form.
- Customer reviews. Reviews are reproduced exactly as customers wrote them, so they occasionally contain spelling or grammatical errors. We do not correct them, because altering a review would misrepresent it.
- Older browsers. The site is built to modern standards. On browsers more than a few years old, some visual polish may be missing, though the content and the form remain usable.
5. If you cannot use part of this site
Please tell us — and please do not let it stop you getting your air conditioning fixed. If any part of this website is a barrier for you, contact us and we will take your booking directly and personally, at no disadvantage to you.
When you get in touch, it helps if you can tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If you use assistive technology, knowing which one helps us reproduce the problem.
6. Other ways to reach us
Everything on this website can be done by phone instead. Call (702) 335-5572 and you will reach Barak, the owner, who can book the appointment, answer questions about pricing, and arrange the visit without you needing to use the website at all.
You can also email ziggychllc@gmail.com.
If you use a telecommunications relay service, you can reach us by dialling 711 and giving the operator our number.
7. Feedback and complaints
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of this site. Send it to ziggychllc@gmail.com with “Website accessibility” in the subject line, or call (702) 335-5572.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five business days and to tell you what we intend to do about it. If a fix will take longer, we will say so and offer you a way to get what you needed in the meantime.
